Our Story

Starting as an initiative to serve the community—we collaborated with industry leaders and hosted events covering topics such as financial literacy, career development, mental health, and more. With all of the division happening in the world, our original show Break the Odds served as our flagship resource, created with the heart to be a place where people could tune-in to hear encouragement for the day and inspiring conversations to help them break the odds in their life, family, career, and communities. Fast-forward to today, we are an official brand with a community of over 30,000 people from around the world!

Starting as an initiative to serve the community, our footprint within the personal growth space began with our flagship resource and show, Break the Odds—where we interview industry leaders, professionals, and individuals who share their inspiring stories of breaking the odds to help you reach the the next level.

Since the premiere of Break The Odds, we have also expanded to collaborating with brands and hosting events in the community covering topics such as financial literacy, career development, mental health, and more. Fast-forward to today, we are a brand with a community of over 30,000 people from around the world!

Why the distinction of being a “faith-based personal growth and lifestyle” brand?

“Faith-Based Personal Growth”

God has always been the foundation of what we do. However, we did not formally label ourselves as “faith-based” at first. Honestly, we did not feel that it was necessary—until recently. We noticed a shift take place within the personal growth space (not everywhere, but increasingly) where practices such as idolatry, for example, have become more prominent that includes personifying/praying to environmental things as god, seeing yourself as God-like, and more.

We are not here to condemn others or the personal growth space as whole. Nor do we claim to be perfect. Rather, we desire to be a place that honors God and acknowledges Him within the dialogue of personal growth and breaking the odds.

We are not here to condemn others or the personal growth space as whole. Nor do we claim to be perfect. Rather, we desire to be a place that honors God and acknowledges Him within the dialogue of personal growth and breaking the odds.

“Faith-Based Lifestyle”

God makes it clear that with Him we have the victory. Therefore, we believe that through The Lord breaking the odds is a lifestyle! However, as we go through life God calls us to trust Him. And by trusting Him, we no longer have to carry the weight of doing life alone! God defines trusting Him as “faith”.

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.” —Hebrews 11:1 MSG

That doesn’t mean the journey will be easy—in fact, we are encouraged to persevere, have discipline, not to quit, and more. But what it does mean, is that we will have hope, joy, and peace as we trust in Him—and that He will work all things for our good!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” —Romans 15:13 NIV

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28 NIV

perseverance [produces], character; and character, hope.”—Romans 5:4 NIV

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” —2 Timothy 1:7 NIV

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” —2 Galatians 6:9 NIV

“I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” —Philippians 4:12-13 NIV

As you can see, core principles of living a life rooted in The Lord are similar to the core principles commonly shared within the personal growth space—such as discipline, perseverance, not quitting, etc. However, to have the life of victory that God has promised, we must trust Him (have faith). That is why we say “faith-based” lifestyle because we are signifying living life on the basis of trusting The Lord (aka: rooted in faith in Him), as a lifestyle.

Therefore, overall we have added “faith-based” to the brand to signify that we desire to be a brand that is rooted in The Lord and a place where others who desire to live a life rooted in The Lord can plug-in with content and resources that can help them walk in their God-given purpose.

Core Values

We desire to be a brand that is rooted in The Lord, encourages others to live a faith-filled life, and reflects the love of Jesus Christ through serving the community.

A Prayer for Today

We encourage you to pray alongside with us:

God, we come before you today with humbled hearts, open hearts. You say, Jesus, that you came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Lord, we want that! Regardless of our level of success or influence, we want the abundant life that YOU have purposed for each of us. And so we are coming to You with arms wide open. We let go of trying to live life our way and trust You. We give You the keys to the driver seat of our lives and trust You because we know that we have a guaranteed victory with You because You say You work all things together for the good those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

Jesus, we declare You as Lord in our lives. We ask You to forgive us of any wrongdoing in our lives and we step into the freedom that You have for us. Freedom from shame. Freedom from guilt. In Romans 15:13 it says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” And so God, we believe in our hearts and ask that Your living power operate in our lives so that we can truly live life to the fullest—a life full of joy, a life full of peace, and a life full of purpose! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
